Our Leadership

Reverend Mike Hollomon is our lead pastor. He is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and has served for over 20 years – most of this time he has served in the Magic Valley. He is a graduate of Garrett Theological Seminary. Pastor Mike has been married to Patti Jeffery for over 25 years. Patti teaches 2nd grade in Jerome. They have two sons. Pastor Mike’s passion is to share God’s love in practical, caring ways in the community and with his congregation. He is interested in social justice and truly caring for all – not just as a statement but by connecting with people in honest relationships.

Pastor Penny Hodges is our part time Certified Lay Minister.  When the Buhl United Methodist Church could no longer support an ordained elder on their own, Penny volunteered to become a Lay Person Assigned.  Since she doesn’t consider herself an outgoing person, and sometimes feels uncomfortable praying out loud in a group, she thinks the Holy Spirit must have inspired her to volunteer for this. In 2016 Pastor Penny became the first Certified Lay Minister in the Sage District. She has had many hobbies over the years, and the last 10 years has spent a lot of time with her horses.  She likes to trail ride.  Because her maiden name is Studebaker, her husband decided she should have one of the old Studebaker buggies.  She now has 3 of them.  She also has a covered wagon that she takes on camping trips.

Etha Carruthers is our Church Administrator.  While a member of the United Methodist Church in Twin Falls, Etha felt called to use her abilities to organize, schedule, and keep track of finances in her local church. She has served as our go to person for all administrative needs since our ministry began in 2013.
